God just took home another wonderful angel – volunteer Rhona Holder 6/3/1928 – 11/7/2012By
One of our sweet charity volunteers, Rhona Holder, just passed away, she was 84 years old. Her funeral was this afternoon in Houston, MO and I was privileged to sing in the choir for her with my daughter and husband. Rhona enjoyed crafts, painting, doll making, sewing and helping out at our monthly work meetings.
Rhona was always ready to lend a hand where ever or when ever she was needed. I remember years ago having Rhona slip some money into my hand after a trip to Dallas with her. She knew I needed to buy stamps for our ‘begging letters’ for charity so we would have fabric and batting to make the baby quilts for the little ones in hospital. This was before email and facebook – we did things the hard way! I was so touched by her very generous offer as I knew she had sacrificed to do that for the babies.
Rhona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who new and loved her sweet gentle presence. May God be with you all the way, Rhona.
All our love,
